Event Tech Live opens its virtual doors!

Event Tech Live, USA, and Canada marked its opening day on June 8. The 3-day virtual event is a  product of demand from Event Tech Live attendees and customers on both sides of the pond, ETL USA & Canada will replicate the content and new technology onus of the UK show with a steer towards the solutions helping organizers to keep hosting events through the pandemic and, ultimately, the pivot back to some sort of normal. BSI selected by UK Government to certify G7 Summit and COP26 events against sustainability standard

BSI, the business improvement and standards company, has been selected by the UK Government to assess the G7 Summit and COP26 events against the international sustainability standard, ISO 20121. This best practice standard was inspired by BS 8901, which was published in time for the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic events. For the full story, click here!

GLISSER CEO MIKE PIDDOCK: FORGET THE HYBRID. JUST CALL THEM EVENTS

The Ceo and founder of Glisser, Mike Piddock has said that the future of events will be hybrid. Mr. Piddock believes that the events industry will go the same way as watching a sporting game, there will be unmissable events but the majority of the time you will attend them by viewing the events from your own home.

Hubilo makes six senior appointments to accelerate global growth

Hubilo, the virtual and hybrid events platform, has announced six senior appointees to help continue its rapid global growth. The company just increased its headcount by 270 employees in just 12 months. The company which has over 300 employees has seen a growth in full-time employees of 750% over that same timeframe, with recruitment focused on the US, Europe, and India. Day two content kicked off with Unwrapit co-founder Peter Deitz moderating a panel. Deitz topic: ‘Your Event Community, the Gift that keeps on Giving’, the 4,000 or so miles between Matthew Harris, CEO at Konduko – live and direct from Switzerland – Deitz and Rachel Stephan, founder of Snöball, just disappeared, highlighting the potential of events in 2021.The whole conversation centered around engagement and community between people throughout the pandemic.
